Righteous West Virginia School Rejects “Evidence” in Favor of Proper, Biblically-Supported Gender Stereotypes! God Smiles, Satan & Libs Gnash Teeth!

There are some folks out here in REAL America what ain't afeard of "Separate But Equal" {Here}:

At the end of the 2008-09 school year, a Raleigh County middle school asked for the school board’s support in piloting gender-based classes with its sixth-graders.

Today, this pilot project will became a reality.

Sixth-graders at Independence Middle School will receive instruction in core subjects (math, science, social studies and history) separately.

Girls will be taught in one classroom, boys in another.

Independence Middle is the first school in Raleigh County to try gender-based education.

School board president Rick Snuffer says, “If it works, I’d like to go countywide with it.”

Leonard Sax, executive director of the National Association for Single Sex Public Education, spent Tuesday at Independence Middle conducting staff development with those who will be instructing the gender-based classes.

He held an informational session with the sixth-graders’ parents Tuesday evening.

“On average, the kids are going to do better. But what we’re going to do tonight is very important. You’ve got to engage and empower your parents,” Sax told the teachers Tuesday afternoon.

Sax says wealthy families shouldn’t be the only ones with the option to send their children to a private all-boys or all-girls school.

“We are the pro-choice voice in this debate,” he said.

“Kids are all different. We are not saying that single-sexed education is best for every child. What we are saying is that parents should have a choice.”

In terms of the success of gender-based education, Sax referenced Woodward Elementary School in Deland, Fla.

Thirty-percent of those students are doing better in single-sex classes, he said.

“By putting boys in an all-boys classroom, all of a sudden it’s cool to study. We live in a culture where a lot of boys think it’s not cool to write poetry. In an all-boys classroom, you can make it cool.

“Boys don’t want to be girls, and girls don’t want to be boys ... It narrows what you can do as a person. In an all-boys classroom and vice versa, kids can be themselves. You can eliminate group contrasts. It’s OK for girls to love computer science and engineering and it’s OK to boys to love poetry.”

Sax said the key to gender-based education is employing teaching strategies that simply won’t work in co-ed classrooms.

“Teach the same curriculum to the boys and the same curriculum to girls. But you have to teach it very differently, in a way that that engages boys and engages girls,” he said.

He also referenced the success of Kanawha County’s Anne Bailey Elementary School.

“We’re accustomed to seeing kids improve 30 or 40 percent in the single-sex classes,” Sax said.

At Anne Bailey, data suggest that boys are doing 300 percent better than they were doing in the mixed-gender classes.

In an interview with The Register-Herald Tuesday evening, Anne Bailey Elementary principal Ed Rider said gender-based classes made a significant difference.

“We had a significant gap in achievement between our boys and girls,” Rider said.

After hearing Sax speak at a conference, Rider got approval to pilot gender-based classes with his fifth-graders.

Since, the Kanawha County school has expanded it to grades K-5.

“The way you teach boys and girls is totally different,” Rider said.

“We’ve really had a great success with it. I think it holds a real opportunity for academic achievement. The discipline reduction is just a side benefit. I’m an advocate for it, and I’ve had very, very little opposition.”

There are 540 public schools offering gender-based classes across the country.

Independence’s sixth-graders will come together for co-ed-related arts classes (music, art and computers).

“In the math and English/language arts, the kids can focus on learning. And then in the music class they can come together and have that social interaction,” Sax said.

“I’m not totally persuaded on that point. I can make a good argument on single-sex music class. Nevertheless, many describe a very a good experience with single-sex in core classes and co-ed electives.

Sax founded the National Association for Single Sex Public Education in 2002.

Representative Lynn Jenkins: Republicans need a Great White Hope!

Every day I learn that it isn't just the South that "gets it"; there are Republicans everywhere that understand that ours is a Great White Christian Nation.

U.S. Rep. Lynn Jenkins offered encouragement to conservatives at a town hall forum that the Republican Party would embrace a “great white hope” capable of thwarting the political agenda endorsed by Democrats who control Congress and President Barack Obama.

Jenkins, a Topeka Republican in her first term in Congress, shared thoughts about the GOP’s political future during an Aug. 19 forum at Fisher Community Center in the northeast Kansas community of Hiawatha.

In response to inquiries by The Topeka Capital-Journal, a Jenkins spokeswoman said Wednesday the congresswoman wanted to apologize for her word choice and to emphasize she had no intention of expressing herself in an offensive manner.

Jenkins told people at the Hiawatha forum the nation could benefit from inspired leadership of a group of “really sharp” young Republicans in the House, particularly Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va. Cantor was mentioned as a possible GOP vice presidential candidate in 2008 and is thought to be interested in seeking the Republican nomination for president in 2012.

“Republicans are struggling right now to find the great white hope,” Jenkins said to the crowd. “I suggest to any of you who are concerned about that, who are Republican, there are some great young Republican minds in Washington.”

Hello Children,

Y’all know I ain’t no fan of them MARXISTS up north of the good ol’ U.S. of A. what with all their AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE FOR ALL and their DISDAIN FOR ALL THINGS REPUBLICAN!

But it looks like us REAL Americans are starting to exploit some of the chinks in their SOCIALIST UTOPIA armor {Here}:

It might not seem like much of a story, especially considering we see this kind of thing all the time down here in AMERICA.

But this here is the first time I seen a story out of Canada of a parent pushing for censorship out of concern for the racial epithets.

Now you and me know that’s a whole mess of hooey; that just like here in the U.S. them parents just don’t cotton the idea that their children might get around to asking some uncomfortable questions.

And if’n there’s one thing us Republican parents know, it’s that we shouldn’t be exposed to nothing what makes us uncomfortable…especially our children’s curiosity about race relations, history, SCIENCE, or SEX!

So if’n it assuages their consciences, then parents are welcome to delude themselves into thinking they’re banning books for the good of their CHILDREN!

After all, ANY censorship is a good step in the RIGHT direction!

With a little more time, maybe them Canadians will even start their own book burning clubs!

As a good Republican, I heartily endorse the DESTRUCTION of any HERETICAL books what might make me THINK DIFFERENT than I did before!

Yesterday ultra liberal Representative Jim Moran (Demoncrat, Virginia) hosted a town hall on health care reform with former Vermont Governor and DNC chair Howard Dean.

Being that this district is so unGodly that it elected a liberal, some visitors from other districts showed up to help guide the attendees to Jesus:

Last night Jim Moran managed to draw the rolling freak show down on himself in Reston with a town hall targeted by out-of-district teabaggers. Reston has a voting population that is about 75-80% Democratic, so as Moran noted when Randall Terry, founder of Operation Rescue, started agitating from the crowd, these weren't people who lived there. [...]

At one point, I heard that a guy in an Obama t-shirt had been punched in the face by a guy in a Cato t-shirt. We had a meetup afterwards at Clyde's for anyone who wanted to attend, and the guy in the Obama shirt turned out to be my friend Jeremy Koulish. He'd been punched in the eye after the guy in the Cato garb tried to rip a sign out of Jeremy's hands and Jeremy wouldn't let go.

So far so good; sometimes it isn't easy to get libs to see the light.

But then they threw out the Upstanding Mr. Terry!

Texas School Board Obeys God; Minnesota gets a warning!

There are few institutions more Godly than the Texas School Board.

1. They are MANDATING that the schools offer a course in the Bible!

As of this school year, all Texas public schools will be required to offer a course on the Bible. “Apparently, there are quite a few politicians and school board members in Texas who are either 1) unaware of the existence of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, or 2) actively trying to subvert it.” (watch KLTV News report)

Nonsense, said William Mattox Jr. in USA Today. “You can’t effectively explore American history,” or even pop culture, without knowing “the stories, themes, and words of the Bible.” Kudos to the Texas Board of Education for not skirting this “contentious fight.” As long as the teachers avoid “engaging in religious indoctrination,” these classes should benefit everyone.

2. The Texas School Board is pushing for a curriculum that will feature the Godly among us and ignore the demonic liberals:

Texas high school students would learn about such significant individuals and milestones of conservative politics as Newt Gingrich and the rise of the Moral Majority — but nothing about liberals — under the first draft of new standards for public school history textbooks.

And the side that got left out is very unhappy.

As it stands, students would get “one-sided, right wing ideology,” said Rep. Trey Martinez Fischer, D-San Antonio, chairman of the House Mexican American Caucus.

“We ought to be focusing on historical significance and historical figures. It's important that whatever course they take, that it portray a complete view of our history and not a jaded view to suit one's partisan agenda or one's partisan philosophy,” he said.

The State Board of Education has appointed “review committees” made up largely of active and retired school teachers to draft new social studies curriculum standards as well as six “expert reviewers” to help shape the final document.

The standards, which the board will decide next spring, will influence new history, civics and geography textbooks.

The first draft for proposed standards in United States History Studies Since Reconstruction says students should be expected “to identify significant conservative advocacy organizations and individuals, such as Newt Gingrich, Phyllis Schlafly and the Moral Majority.”

Gingrich helped lead House Republicans to their 1994 takeover of Congress and became House speaker. Schlafly founded the conservative Eagle Forum and became a leading opponent of the Equal Rights Amendment aimed at formalizing women's equality with men. The Moral Majority formed in the late 1970s as an evangelical Christian organization that influenced politics and public policy for decades.

3. Of course, they attempted to push for creationism to be taught in schools!

Not that the Texas school board creationists were coherent before, but what else do they have left? After the defeat of language in the state standards to teach the "strengths and weaknesses" of evolution in Texas public schools, the creationist school board members have rallied under the motto "Somebody's got to stand up to experts!" Thus, in defiance of the logical thinking and coherent grammar embraced so fondly by those nefarious experts, the Texas school board on Friday passed a number of incoherent amendments to their state science standards.

So, instead of "strengths and weaknesses," the new standards call for students to "analyze, evaluate, and critique scientific explanations" based in part on "examining all sides of scientific evidence of those scientific experiments." Not only is the grammar fractured, but scientific experiments are usually notable for not supporting "all sides" of an argument.

Teachers now have to ensure that students can "analyze and evaluate the evidence regarding formation of simple organic molecules and their organization into long complex molecules having information such as the DNA molecule for self-replicating life." Nothing after "simple organic molecules" in that sentence makes much sense.

Oh, how I wish the whole nation was like Texas!

You know, this health care reform debate could be easily cured in an instant: it costs no money at all to just pray to Jesus to be healed! I think that all of the Godly states ought to reject federal Medicare and Medicaid money and just close up all hospitals and just pray to Jesus! That'll show those liberal elitist Yankee snobs!

Of course some Northerners just don't get it; the Lutherans who met in Minnesota to allow homosexual clergy were warned by God via a tornado:

Texas Law Enforcement: Paragons of Restraint, Even of Heretics!

It shouldn’t come as no shock to y’all that us here at the Good Kentuckian – being good, honest, God-fearing Christians – are firm believers in the rule of LAW!

Unless we don’t agree with some law; then it's EVIL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

Which is why we don’t got to obey NO BILL what “President” Barack HUSSEIN Obama signs into law!

Anyhow, us Republicans know that the only thing standing between us REAL Americans and an INTRUSIVE, DANGEROUSLY POWERFUL NANNY STATE - which is what the Libs want to set up - is a strong (and accountable-to-NO-ONE-but-God-Hisself) police force!

That’s cause us in the GOP know that there ain’t no other way to stem the ENCROACHMENT OF GOVERNMENT ON PERSONAL LIBERTIES than by entrusting law enforcement with more powers of SEARCH and SEIZURE, and less liability when they ACCIDENTALLY kill an “innocent.” *

Also, it allows us Republicans to properly legislate morality, which is what Pat Robertson says God wants us to do.

Our respectability among juvenile fans of Harry Potter may have just gone up a notch: Daniel Radcliffe has cheerfully declared himself to be an atheist.

I'm an atheist, but I'm very relaxed about it. I don't preach my atheism, but I have a huge amount of respect for people like Richard Dawkins who do. Anything he does on television, I will watch.

I understand that this same segment of society has also found a heightened interest in the works of playwrights like Peter Schaffer, so we know the Harry Potter effect can help. If only Radcliffe had an excuse to take his clothes off for atheism…

Of course there is also the complementary effect that the people who were convinced that both Harry Potter and atheism were the demon-spawned products of Hell have now had their suspicions confirmed.

The only thing WORSE than a PAGAN is an ATHEIST!

But I still pray for the deaths of BOTH groups!

When first I am seeing Professor of Genius Technology Glenn Beck’s program, I was thinking that surely he was wrong!

And initially, that was seeming to be borne out. Following cars.gov – as Comrade Glenn reported - I was seeing nothing to be supporting his strangeness.

I was not finding any of the evil government control that comrade “always rational, never hysterical” Glenn prophesied during his fevered delirium.

How foolish I was! I was not knowing it yet, but I had placed my feet firmly within your government’s trap!

There was no mentioning – none - anywhere on Cars.gov of forfeiture of personal computer information to the federal government.

I was concluding that Glenn Beck was simply a cynical opportunist, capitalizing on the fears of his viewers to stoke conspiracy theories to further prop up his ratings, thereby allowing him to maintain what little sense of self-worth he must have.

Perhaps a searching of Snopes.com would be telling me something?


Yet more evidence to to be supporting of my hypothesis that comrade Beck is not mentally stable and/or in wanting of intelligence.

But what if Snopes is not being so nonpartisan as they are making themselves out to be; yes?

Is there being a website filled with slow-witted, semi-racist inbreds like comrade Beck that might contradict him?

If you log onto cars.gov, and I recommend you don't, the federal government literally takes ownership of YOUR personal computer. All of your files, EVERYTHING on your computer, the federal government can copy and DISTRIBUTE to ANYONE or any agency inside the United States or even on foreign soil without your permission. That's right! Believe it or not.

This isn’t cars.org (go check it out, despite what Glenn is saying. He is showing a blue page, cars.org is green)

When a EULA talks about “file on a SYSTEM”, they aren’t talking about your PC. The cars.gov website isn’t stored on your computer, they don’t mean YOUR system, they mean the client/server architecture.

As dumb as the cash for clunker scheme is, if anyone use the website on their own (when they find a way to make a server work with their 19 millions $), it’s pretty evident that the page Glenn refers to is for dealers, it’s not for you or me.

As much as it sadden me, Glenn it completely wrong on this one, he should have researched this bit a little more.

Here’s the key information:

1. If you are a consumer visiting cars.gov (the “cash for clunkers” website) the Federal government cannot take control over your computer, nor will it ask permission to do so.

2. The “Terms of Use” statement to which Beck refers is not from cars.gov. Rather it is a login page for dealer transactions located at esc.gov.

3. The only people who can get login credentials for the esc.gov site are dealers who have been screened and registered for the “cash for clunkers” program.

4. To summarize: the page in question isn’t on cars.gov and can only be used by dealers who have already registered. Consumers won’t be impacted by any of this.

Can someone explain the simple physics of a governmnet system being able to upload gigs of data from my computer in a matter of seconds over the same lines that I use where a simple 5 meg file takes 20 seconds to download?
